Converge ONU modem Wi-Fi name & password change

To change Wi-Fi name and password in Converge ONU modem, connect your PC directly to the modem via an ethernet cable. This will work fine especially if your local network has firewall or DHCP server. You can set to default DHCP adapter settings to obtain correct IP address and network values. Otherwise, you have to use the same subnet mask value specified underneath the modem. Then access the global configuration or dashboard of your modem to change settings such as Wi-Fi SSID or passkey.

Get your default gateway address by using CMD command prompt. Open web browsers such as Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge then enter the default gateway to navigate in your Converge modem dashboard settings.

Huawei ONUs

Connect your PC to modem network
Open browser and logon to http://192.168.100.1/ You will be asked to input modem login credentials
Default values are; Username: root Password: admin or adminHW
Click WLAN, then 2.4G or 5G Basic Network Settings, then input your desired new Wi-Fi name (SSID) and password (WPA pre shared key), Click apply to confirm
Scan the new SSID or Wi-Fi network name and try to reconnect by using the new password.

Fiberhome ONUs

Connect your PC to modem network
Open browser and logon to http://192.168.1.1/ You will be asked to input modem login credentials
Default values are; Username: user1 or user2 Password: 12345 or user1234 or user12345
Click Interface Setup, then Wireless, then input your desired new Wi-Fi name (SSID) and password (WPA pre shared key), Click Save to confirm
Scan the new SSID or Wi-Fi network name and try to reconnect by using the new password.

ZTE ONUs

Connect your PC to modem network
Open browser and logon to http://192.168.100.1/ You will be asked to input modem login credentials
Default values are Username: user Password: user
Click Network, then SSID Settings, then input your desired new Wi-Fi name (SSID) and Click Submit to confirm
Click Network, then Security, then input the new WPA Passphrase and click Submit
Scan the new SSID or Wi-Fi network name and try to reconnect by using the new password.
